FacilitiesThe

10x14 foot stalls; a sand ring; a wooded riding area; and six acres of
groomed path trails. A cross country schooling area and large grass
riding area are planned for the spring. ExperienceThe Janke (pronounced yann key) family is
one full of equine enthusiasts. From professionals to amateurs in
eventing, hunter/jumpers, polo, fox hunting and dressage spanning the
country.
Liz Barcomb (formally Janke) and Laura
Janke are sisters and owners of Holladay Hills. The stable was first
founded in 1997 in upstate New York where it became a thriving boarding
and training facility. Liz and Laura have competed successfully for
many years including shows such as Lake Placid, Hits Ocala, Catskills,
Staurt horse trails, Groton House, GMHA, Genessee Valley, dressage at
Saratoga and many, many more locally and nationally.
Recently
in 2006, they relocated their ten horses and one pony to Franklin KY.
The draw of sunny weather and being closer to family was something they
could not ignore.

The name Holladay Hills comes
from Liz and Laura's first horse Doc Holladay. Doc was a 15.3 chestnut
appendix quarter horse. Doc came from their aunt Deb and Uncle Ed in
Texas. He was a retired polo pony. The girls had the task of making him
a hunter jumper. After many fights and crashes into roll tops, Doc went
on to be successful in the hunter ring and later was then transformed
into an eventer. Doc became a wonderful lesson horse - teaching many
students how to ride and keeping them in their place with his desire to
be in charge at all times. Doc lived to be thirty-one years old. He
passed away in the spring of 2006 just before our move to Kentucky. Doc
taught us more than how to ride, but to love what we do and to do it
with passion. His spirit lives on in our farm and in all we do. We will
miss him. | Holladay
